I have received two Hello Kitty plushies from my students, a lion from Tina and a Valentine from Zaria and her little sister. If you look carefully at the white board in the background you can see the large Hello Kitty that Charlotte drew for our bulletin board.

Rice Rocks!
I must first start off by saying that my computer crashed a couple of weeks ago and now have a faster, better one than before so I can start blogging more regularly! Yeah!
Yesterday my good friend (and personal art teacher) Karen and I played hooky. Unbelievably she had never been to Kierland Commons so we spent most of the afternoon there eating, shopping, and most of all just looking. Our main purpose for taking the day off was to head over to Frenzy Stamper in Scottsdale to meet Rice Freeman-Zachery and her husband, Earle (aka EGE). She was signing her new book, Creating Time and Space, Making Room for Making Art.
We had a blast! I had met Rice and Earle last summer at Art Fiber Fest in Portland, OR and couldn't wait to see them again. I stalk Rice's blog and love her writing style.....
Here is Karen admiring Rice's recent boot purchase:
